The organ replenishes Alcalá light

The annual meeting of the organ concert in our city has been expected, but judging by the quality of the performers and the suitability of the dates, the VI International Organ Festival “Alcala Cathedral” 2012 will be among the most important nowadays.

While the cycle is a luxury that no alcalaíno should miss so unusual musical quality in our city, it is our duty to note that this issue has not received institutional support. Only the commendable work of the organizers and the Diocese of Alcalá hold this miracle in balance you need for all of us who believe that culture and art are also essential for this heritage city.

Last Saturday saw the opening of the Festival brilliant. Guests at sonic feast, enjoyed a concert of great height where the unusual duo of flute and organ brought us moments of extraordinary beauty and depth. The line work, records and phrasing especially electricity generated in the nave of the Cathedral. J.S. Bach was paradoxically opening and closing encore of a concert in which we enjoyed the freshness of Jean Alain and leave us subjugated by the inexhaustible imagination of CPE Bach. But Mozart was commissioned to mark that point magical traps. The large crowd gathered at the Cathedral Magistral relished intangible brightness Mozart Fantasy, which was meticulously crafted and emotional quality by Alie Hamberg organist. Gurdensen Luana’s work was essential to give the spatial and projection that requires a festival of this caliber.

This edition pays tribute to one of the great artists of the Baroque organ, John Stanley, whose bright, clear voice will continue to resonate among Blancafort organ pipes. The crack of light returned to the Magistral organ with a concert which fortunately is only the first of a series not to be missed.
